Roles & Responsibilities

Maintained books of accounts including journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances
Handled cost accounting: product costing, BOM review, WIP, and variance analysis
Prepared monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Managed inventory accounting: stock valuation, reconciliation, slow-moving and obsolete inventory analysis
Conducted manufacturing cost analysis and monitored production expenses
Performed budgeting and forecasting, including comparison of actual vs budgeted costs
Managed accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
Coordinated with production, purchase, and stores departments for cost control and reporting
Handled GST / VAT / Sales Tax compliance (returns, reconciliations, and filings)
Assisted in statutory audits, internal audits, and cost audits
Reconciled bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer balances
Ensured compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Prepared MIS reports for management decision-making
Supported month-end and year-end closing activities
