Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and preparing accurate financial reports for Loomkaari Studio. Responsibilities include handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, supporting budgeting and cost analysis, and ensuring timely compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The role involves close coordination with production and operations teams to track inventory costs, project expenses, and vendor payments, while supporting management in financial planning and decision-making. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Jaipur, requiring regular presence at the studio to collaborate with internal stakeholders and ensure smooth financial processes.
Qualifications
- Strong accounting fundamentals, including knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, ledgers, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP/finance software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar), and advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reconciliation.
- Experience with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and vendor/customer account management.
- Understanding of taxation, compliance, and regulatory requirements relevant to Indian businesses, including GST and statutory filings.
- Ability to analyze costs, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide clear financial insights to management.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams in a studio and workshop environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA/ICWA/CPA or in progress) are an advantage.
- Prior experience as an Accountant or in a similar finance role; experience in manufacturing, textiles, or design-driven businesses is a plus.
