Job Summary:

The Plant Accountant & Finance Analyst – Rigid Plastics role plays a critical leadership role in enhancing the financial performance and profitability of Visy Rigid Plastics. The role will comprise Plant Accounting responsibilities for the Forrestfield Plant as well as a Finance Analyst role across the Visy Plastics Division.

As a key finance business partner to the operational leadership team and divisional leadership team, this role provides strategic insight, drives continuous improvement, and ensures the integrity and timeliness of financial reporting.

The role will provide quality reporting data, analysis, and decision support, as well as ad-hoc reporting when required for the Forrestfield plant as well as across the Visy Plastics Division. Your work will be integral in ensuring accuracy of systems, adherence to corporate policies, forecast modelling, capital investment opportunities, and profitability enhancement.

The position requires a hands-on, site-engaged approach and the ability to lead through influence, supporting operational excellence and fostering a culture of financial ownership. A strong systems and improvement mindset is essential, together with stepping into broader divisional finance responsibilities as needed.

Key Requirements:

Financial Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and variance analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support external audits.

Experience

Mandatory:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Proven experience with SAP and advanced Excel skills including SmartView and Analysis for SAP
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, manufacturing finance, and inventory accounting

Desirable:

  • Experience with Hyperion or similar planning/reporting tools
  • Power BI reporting

Qualifications

Mandatory:

  • CPA or CA qualified (or nearing completion)
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Desirable
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Business or Finance

Certifications & Licenses

Mandatory:

  • CPA or CA certification
  • Current driver's license

Desirable:

  • SAP or other relevant financial systems certification
