Role Description
This is a full-time, in-office role for an In-House Accountant at Smoothmix, located in Vadodara.
Work Timings: Monday to Saturday, 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM
The accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function end-to-end, including bookkeeping, invoicing, GST compliance, vendor reconciliations, MIS reporting, and developing accounting SOPs to ensure smooth and audit-ready financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate day-to-day accounting entries and updated ledgers.
- Generate GST-compliant invoices for B2B and other transactions.
- Track receivables, follow up on outstanding payments, and maintain ageing reports.
- Record and manage vendor bills, payments, and expense logs.
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and manage TDS deductions and filings.
- Coordinate with the external CA for compliance, audits, and statutory filings.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, including P&L, cash flow, expense breakdowns, and balance sheet.
- Reconcile bank statements, monitor daily cash position, and manage working capital requirements.
- Work with the operations team on inventory movement, SKU-level cost sheets, and stock reconciliation.
- Develop and maintain accounting SOPs, checklists, and clean audit trails.
