Position Summary: This position will have a broad range of technical, day-to-day finance/accounting, and project-based responsibilities. All duties will be performed in a fast-paced, multi-tasking and flexible environment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Process transactional accounts.
- Prepare end journal entries.
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Aid local business team with required documentation.
- Execute and/or participate in the day-to-day accounting processes, such as cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Compilate and distribute daily, weekly, monthly reports as assigned.
- Reconcile and/or assist with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and related processes, and corporate intercompany balances.
- Maintain and reconcile the GR/IR (goods-receipt/invoice-receipt) account balances.
- Maintain customer and vendor database.
- Assist with month end closing and preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Ensure proper execution of internal financial controls and procedures.
- Use equipment and materials properly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline required or a combination of education and experience
Experience
- Minimum 4-5 of accounting role experience
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner.
- Eye for detail, accuracy is imperative.
- Knowledge of GAAP and other accounting standards.
- Able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel or similar internal business management programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet critical business deadlines.
- Familiar with aerospace industry a plus.
- Observes all safety and security procedures.
- Uses equipment and materials properly.
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
