Job Description
An
Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of an organization. They prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements, maintain general ledgers, and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Process payroll and monitor expenses
- Prepare and file tax returns
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
- Conduct internal audits and ensure regulatory compliance
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Good communication and reporting skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certifications such as CPA (preferred)
