Job Purpose
The Accountant – Finance will be responsible for managing day-to-day banking operations, fixed asset accounting, accounts receivable and payable, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires strong accounting expertise, sound knowledge of banking operations, and the ability to ensure accurate financial records while supporting business and audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily banking transactions, including payments, fund transfers, and banking operations.
- Coordinate with banks on matters related to term loans, working capital, and other banking requirements.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and record asset additions, transfers, disposals, retirements, and capitalization.
- Perform periodic reconciliation between the Fixed Asset Register and the General Ledger.
- Execute monthly depreciation accounting and ensure accurate reconciliation of fixed assets.
- Prepare monthly expense provisions based on available information and supporting documents.
- Manage the end-to-end overseas remittance process in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Assist in monthly and annual financial book closure activities.
- Manage Accounts Receivable by coordinating with the Business Development team to ensure timely collections.
- Manage Accounts Payable by ensuring timely processing of vendor payments and reconciliation of outstanding balances.
- Independently handle statutory audits by coordinating with auditors and providing the required financial information and supporting documents.
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, and internal financial controls.
- Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and MIS required by management.
- Coordinate effectively with internal departments to ensure smooth finance operations.
