Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Srinagar. The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial transactions, including recording entries, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities include preparing invoices, monitoring receivables and payables, assisting with payroll, and supporting inventory-related accounting for FMCG products. The role involves preparing periodic financial reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and company policies. The Accountant will collaborate with operations and sales teams to support accurate financial tracking and contribute to efficient business decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in financial accounting and bookkeeping, including ledger management and account reconciliation.
• Experience with invoicing, billing, and managing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel, with the ability to generate reports and analyze financial data.
• Knowledge of basic taxation and compliance requirements relevant to FMCG distribution and trading businesses.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks.
• Ability to work on-site in Srinagar, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
• Relevant educational background such as a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in accounting within FMCG, distribution, or trading environments is preferred but not mandatory.
