About Us
Faizal Ahamed & Co. is a business located in Vandiyur, Madurai, primarily specializing in scrap weighing and B2B material trading. We are looking for an experienced and diligent Accountant to handle our daily bookkeeping, GST compliance, invoice generation, and financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Invoicing & Compliance: Generate GST-compliant sales invoices, e-Invoices, and E-Way Bills accurately and timely for B2B transactions.
* Scrap Weighing & B2B Billing: Reconcile daily weighbridge/weighing receipts with client purchase orders, delivery challans, and final billing amounts.
* Account Maintenance: Maintain day-to-day accounting ledgers, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger entries using Tally / Zoho Books / Excel.
* Bank & Cash Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and manage physical cash/online payments related to scrap purchases and sales.
* Taxation & Filing Support.
* Vendor & Client Follow-ups: Track outstanding customer balances, coordinate timely payments, and manage vendor accounts.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent accounting qualification.
* Experience: experience in B2B accounting, preferably in scrap trading, manufacturing, or logistics industries.
* Technical Proficiency:

* Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally Prime / Zoho Books) and MS Excel.
* Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of weight-based goods billing, transport documentation, and scrap/metal trading workflows.
* Languages: Proficiency in Tamil (for local vendor/client communication) and working knowledge of English.
