Accountant is an entry-level financial professional who supports the accounting department by managing daily transactions, updating ledgers, and preparing financial reports. They work under the supervision of senior accountants and play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records.Core ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping & Data Entry: Record daily financial transactions and ensure accurate updates to company databases.Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR): Process invoices, manage employee expense forms, issue payments, and track incoming funds.Reconciliations: Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure general ledgers are balanced.Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and quarterly budgets.Compliance & Auditing: Help compile and verify data for tax preparations, internal audits, and statutory requirements.Payroll Processing: Gather payroll expenses and assist with monthly payroll execution.Key Requirements & SkillsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Tally, Oracle, QuickBooks).Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and mathematical calculations.Analytical Skills: Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve routine accounting errors.Communication: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
