An accountant manages, analyzes, and reports an organization's financial data to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and fiscal health. Key responsibilities include reconciling bank statements, preparing balance sheets and income statements, managing tax filings, auditing, and advising management on financial decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Recording: Accurately document daily transactions, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, profit & loss, cash flow).Compliance & Taxes: Compute taxes, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with local/international financial regulations.Auditing & Analysis: Perform internal audits to check for financial discrepancies and analyze data to improve profitability.Budgeting: Assist management with budgeting, forecasting, and expense tracking.Required Skills and QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.Certifications: CPA, CA, CMA, or ACCA preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally) and advanced MS Excel.Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ethical integrity.
