Position Summary & Objective:
The accountant manages finance and tactical objectives to meet organizational objectives through financial cost analyses. Responsible for cost accounting functions, analysis, studies, internal reporting, and related cost records. Oversee all cost accounting reports. Provide value-added cost analysis, cost savings and plant spending. Assist with annual Budget preparation, strategic finance planning and forecasting.
Essential Functions Performed by the Position
Responsible for internal management reporting, Cost Management and supporting analysis.
o Automate reporting and analysis through advanced Excel tools such as pivot tables and queries.
o Work Order Variance Analysis.
o Raw Material Yield Analysis.
o Direct Labor Analysis.
o Product Processing Yield Analysis.
o Purchase Price Variance Analysis.
o Partner with Operations and other customers to ensure timely and effective communication of areas in need of improvement and the resulting action items to mitigate those areas.
Responsible for cost models and product pricing studies and new item set-ups.
Responsible for spending and variance analysis.
Responsible for timely and accurate closings.
Data Management: supports MAS 500 processes and system development.
Responsible for financial control documentation and supporting audits. Ensure that items are correctly classified, and statements prepared in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
Assists in the analytical and/or strategic function including the development of budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
Ability to manage functions, allocate resources, set priorities, and coordinate many independent groups.
Involves varied tasks requiring advanced problem-solving skills.
Conceives ideas for solutions and participates in the resolution of issues.
Resolves conflict problems escalated by associates.
Position Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
Experience:
Minimum 3 5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience.
ERP system experience is essential, MAS 500 experience a plus.
Experience using financial and in-house software to perform analysis and report generation. required to support management and decision-making activities.
Certifications/Licenses:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
Language Proficiency:
Fluent in English.
