Accountant and Bookkeeper (US GAAP)
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant and Bookkeeper with a strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to join our team. As an Accountant and Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with US GAAP standards. You will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, financial analysis, reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial statements. The ideal candidate should possess a solid foundation in accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
- Responsibilities:
- Responsible for auditing of the books and recording and bookkeeping process
- Coordination with the oversees team and raise invoices
- Perform day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting to provide insights into business performance.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP standards and identify any potential deviations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as the finance team and management, to provide accurate and timely financial information.
- Support the internal/external audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure adherence to new standards as required.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring all supporting documentation is properly filed and archived.
- Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Qualifications:
- CA/CS/MCom/CPA
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping roles, preferably with exposure to US GAAP.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP principles and their practical application in financial reporting and analysis.
- Proficient in using accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel) to manage financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate reports.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with relevant accounting regulations, including tax laws and regulations, is a plus.
