About the Role

We are looking for a trustworthy, sincere and efficient Accountant to join our team on a long-term basis.

The role will initially involve routine accounting and basic taxation compliance work. As the candidate becomes familiar with our processes and demonstrates proficiency, they will gradually be given opportunities to handle more complex accounting and taxation assignments under appropriate supervision and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

* Recording and maintaining day-to-day accounting entries

* Maintaining books of accounts and assisting with bookkeeping

* Preparing and filing basic Income Tax Returns (ITRs) under supervision

* Preparing and filing basic GST Returns (GSTRs) under supervision

* Assisting with GST and Income Tax compliance work

* Preparing basic reconciliations and client-related working papers

* Organising and maintaining financial and taxation records

* Assisting senior team members with client assignments

* Gradually taking responsibility for more complex assignments as knowledge and efficiency develops

* Ensuring accuracy and timely completion of assigned work

* Maintaining strict confidentiality of client and financial information

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is:

* Trustworthy, sincere and dependable

* Efficient and attentive to detail

* Comfortable with basic accounting concepts

* Familiar with or willing to learn Income Tax and GST compliance

* Willing to learn and take on increasing responsibility

* Capable of following instructions carefully and completing work within deadlines

* Looking for a stable, long-term association rather than a short-term position

Prior experience in a CA firm, accounting firm or taxation practice will be an advantage, but willingness to learn and a sincere approach towards work are equally important.
