Accountant - Accounts Payable

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant – Accounts Payable to support the Finance & Accounts function. The role involves managing accounts payable operations, vendor reconciliations, MIS reporting, inventory accounting, bank reconciliations, and month-end book closure while ensuring compliance with applicable statutory requirements and internal financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, including invoice verification, processing, and vendor payments.
• Prepare MIS reports and support financial reporting requirements.
• Handle inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, and related accounting entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations (BRS) and vendor account reconciliations.
• Support month-end book closure, provisions, and prepaid expense accounting.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment-related queries.
• Work with ERP systems and MS Excel to maintain accounting data and prepare reports.
• Adhere to company policies, accounting standards, and internal financial controls.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes.
• Experience in MIS preparation and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory accounting and reconciliation.
• Understanding of BRS, month-end closure, provisions, and prepaid accounting.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Tally.
• Good MS Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in manufacturing or aerospace organizations and hands-on exposure to Accounts Payable, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and ERP-based accounting will be preferred.
