Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Shillong. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing balance sheets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Key responsibilities include maintaining financial statements, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, preparing tax documents, and providing financial insights to support strategic decision-making. The role also involves working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and supporting external audits as required.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Accounting principles, Bookkeeping, and Financial Reporting
- Experience in Budget Management and preparing Tax Returns
- Strong skills in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Reconciliation
- Proficiency in Accounting Software (such as Tally, SAP, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and financial auditing processes
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA/CPA or equivalent qualifications are a plus)
- Prior experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the education or service industry
