Team Lead – Accounts

Job Summary
The Team Lead – Accounts will be responsible for managing the accounting team and ensuring seamless delivery of accounting and financial services to SME and individual clients. This role involves overseeing daily operations, maintaining service quality standards, managing revenue targets, handling client escalations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities (Roles & Responsibilities)
* Lead, supervise, and manage the Accounts team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
* Ensure timely and accurate delivery of accounting services for SME and individual clients.
* Handle client escalations and ensure prompt resolution with root cause analysis.
* Oversee daily approvals, workflows, and operational processes.
* Monitor service quality and implement corrective actions where required.
* Manage team revenue targets and develop strategies to achieve business goals.
* Set clear performance goals and KPIs for team members.
* Participate in recruitment activities, including candidate screening, evaluation, and onboarding.
* Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless client service delivery.
Technical Competencies
* Hands-on experience in any one accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, MYOB, or CashFlow.
* Exposure to Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL) accounting, bank reconciliation, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
* Solid understanding of SME and individual client accounting requirements.
* Working knowledge of CRM systems and client management tools.
* Familiarity with administrative and financial reporting tools.
* Strong understanding of customer service principles and service excellence practices.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in commerce/finance/accounting (B. Com, M. Com, MBA, CPA, CMA, CFA).
* 5–8 years of experience in accounting operations.
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a Team Lead or supervisory role.
* Experience handling international clients (USA/Rest of World) preferred.
