The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join our finance team. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting marketplace operations, and enabling data-driven business decisions. You'll work closely with our leadership team and marketplace managers to ensure financial compliance and optimize our e-commerce operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage vendor payments, track receivables, and maintain timely payment schedules
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly P&L statements, cost analysis reports, and support profitability assessments by marketplace channel
- TDS & Statutory Compliance: Handle TDS filings, track statutory payments, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Inventory Accounting: Coordinate with operations on inventory valuation and stock reconciliation
- Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain organized financial records, invoices, and supporting documents for audits
- Support Strategic Analysis: Provide accurate financial data to support business decisions on pricing, channel selection, and cost optimization
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 1-2 years of experience in accounts/finance roles
- Strong understanding of GST, TDS, and basic taxation
- Proficiency in Tally ERP or similar accounting software
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Comfortable working with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
- Good communication skills for coordinating with teams and vendors
- BCom/MCom or equivalent degree
Strong Preference:
- Prior experience working with online sellers, e-commerce brands, or marketplace businesses
- Familiarity with marketplace commission structures, payment cycles, and reconciliation processes
- Understanding of input tax credit mechanisms and e-commerce GST compliance
