Job Summary
The Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting, auditing, and compliance functions for multiple clients. The role requires strong technical knowledge in accounting standards, taxation, statutory audits, and regulatory compliance, along with the ability to lead junior staff and coordinate with clients.
Roles & Responsibilities1. Statutory Audit
- Independently handle statutory audits for companies, firms, and other entities.
- Plan audit scope, prepare audit programs, and execute audits as per applicable Auditing Standards.
- Review books of accounts, supporting documents, and internal controls.
- Identify audit observations, control weaknesses, and compliance gaps.
- Prepare audit reports, CARO reports (where applicable), and coordinate with partners for finalization.
2. Tax Audit
- Conduct tax audits under the Income Tax Act and prepare tax audit reports.
- Review books of accounts, tax computations, and disclosures.
- Ensure accuracy of clauses, annexures, and supporting working papers.
- Coordinate with clients for clarification and completion of tax audit assignments.
3. GST Filing (Monthly / Quarterly)
- Review and ensure timely filing of GST returns such as GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and other applicable returns.
- Perform GST reconciliations between books of accounts, GSTR-2B, and returns filed.
- Identify GST compliance issues and advise clients on corrective actions.
- Handle GST notices, queries, and departmental communications.
4. GST Annual Filing
- Prepare and review GST annual returns (GSTR-9, GSTR-9C where applicable).
- Perform annual GST reconciliations between audited financials and GST returns.
- Coordinate with auditors/clients for certifications and final submissions.
- Ensure compliance with GST laws and timelines.
5. ROC Filing & Corporate Compliance
- Handle ROC filings including AOC-4, MGT-7/7A, ADT-1, and other statutory forms.
- Ensure compliance with provisions of the Companies Act and related rules.
- Maintain statutory registers, minutes, and compliance calendars for clients.
- Coordinate with company management for timely collection of data and documents.
6. Accounting & Finalization
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities and review entries in Tally/ERP systems.
- Finalize books of accounts including Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet.
- Ensure proper accounting of provisions, accruals, depreciation, and statutory dues.
- Support audit and tax assignments through accurate and compliant accounting records.
