Position: Account Manager – Sports PR (8+ Years)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Sports PR professional with 8+ years of agency experience to lead and strengthen our Sports Public Relations vertical. The role involves working closely with clients, sports federations, athletes, governing bodies, brand partners, and the leadership team to develop impactful communication strategies, manage media relations, and execute integrated PR campaigns that enhance brand visibility and reputation across the sports ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communications: Develop and implement integrated PR and communication strategies for sports brands, athletes, leagues, tournaments, and sporting events across traditional, digital, and social media platforms.
- Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with sports journalists, editors, broadcasters, and digital media to secure high-impact media coverage and effectively manage media interactions.
- Campaign Management: Lead end-to-end execution of sports PR campaigns, including media outreach, press conferences, athlete interactions, event publicity, crisis communication, and reputation management.
- Client Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for key client accounts, providing strategic counsel and ensuring successful delivery of communication objectives.
- New Business Development: Support business growth by identifying new opportunities, contributing to proposals and pitches, and presenting Sports PR strategies to prospective clients.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee multiple accounts, ensuring quality deliverables, adherence to budgets, timelines, and campaign objectives.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture while supporting their professional development.
Qualifications:
- MBA in Marketing/Communications/Business Management
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in a PR agency environment, with a proven track record of managing large-scale client accounts.
- Strong network within the sports media landscape and proven experience managing high-profile sports clients, events.
