The Opportunity:
The key account manager will be responsible for managing our customer relationships and business opportunities across all areas of our portfolio in the country. The prerequisite for the role is strong commercial acumen as well as relationship management skills with prior experience of handling large accounts with growth experience with that account. Role requires strong knowledge of mapping of Customer management and opportunity with strategic long term growth map. Market understanding of segment.
How you'll make an impact:
- Developing and maintaining effective customer relationships at all levels of customers management to working level.
- Ensuring constant engagement with customers and Business units and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that we are seen as a trusted partner and partner of choice.
- Creating new sales opportunities through customer growth aspirations while ensuring existing opportunity management.
- Identifying products and services which meet customers needs and expectations and engaging with business units to develop solutions.
- Manage and prioritize your own workload to deliver against targets and deadlines and achieve shared goals which would include Order intake, Collections and revenue support.
- Identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities whilst maximizing profitability.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and Hitachi standards.
- Ownership of creation, maintenance and enhancement of sales operational processes and systems to improve overall performance of the team with seamless flow of information to all stakeholders.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Hitachi products and services.
- Provide feedback and insight into market trends and competitor activity.
- Plan and organize activities throughout the year to ensure constant engagement at all levels between Hitachi Energy stakeholder and customer organization stakeholder.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
- Should have bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (B.E. Electrical).
- Minimum of 15+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Prior experience of handling large accounts with demonstrated growth experience with that account.
- Knowledge and experience in Manufacturing industry is a must.
- Demonstration of customer contacts of key accounts handled.
- Prior experience in T&D and Industry market segment.
- Technical product comprehension and Commercial awareness combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in a sales environment.
- Experience of developing and implementing sales & growth strategies.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to go to depth for issues to identify challenges and come with issue resolution strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Self-motivation and a growth and result orientated approach.
- Ability to work independently and lead Hitachi Energy agreed objectives with the account as part of a wider team.
- Willingness to be constantly engaged in relationship management and travel as required.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
