We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Account Intern to support our finance and accounting team with day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. The Account Intern will help maintain accurate financial records, assist in financial reporting, and ensure smooth operation of accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
- Record daily financial transactions including invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy of accounts.
- Maintain and update accounting ledgers, journals, and client records.
- Assist in preparation of financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including issuing invoices and following up on payments.
- Support preparation of budgets and financial forecasts by gathering and analyzing data.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations by assisting with tax returns and payments.
- Provide support during financial audits by compiling and presenting necessary documentation.
- Perform general administrative tasks including filing, answering emails, and maintaining office supplies.
- Collaborate with other departments such as finance, HR, and management for effective financial operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field preferred.
- Previous Internship exposure in an accounting or similar role is an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic bookkeeping and data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work independently.
- Understanding of bookkeeping, budgeting, and basic accounting principles.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
