We're looking for a Head – Finance & Accounts who is hands-on with day-to-day accounting but also strong in MIS, costing, controls, and governance.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Finance Manager role located in Calcutta . The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing bookkeeping, financial planning and analysis, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include monitoring cash flow, preparing financial reports, and advising on investment strategies. The role involves collaborating with different departments to align financial decisions with organizational goals and actively engaging in risk assessment and mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

1) Day-to-Day Accounting Ownership

• Oversee bookkeeping and daily accounting operations
• Ensure timely entries, reconciliations, and ledger hygiene
• Manage AP/AR, bank reconciliations, vendor/customer accounting

2) MIS, Costing & Business Analysis

• Build and run monthly MIS (plant/product/customer-wise)
• Drive costing, margin analysis, and variance reporting
• Provide actionable insights on working capital, cash flows, and profitability

3) Compliance & Filings

• Ensure accurate and timely TDS & GST filings
• Coordinate with external CA/auditors for compliance, assessments, and audits
• Maintain statutory records and ensure audit readiness

4) IPO Readiness & Finance Systems

• Strengthen controls, SOPs, documentation, and audit trails
• Build discipline around monthly closing calendar and reporting standards
• Improve governance and reporting aligned with IPO-grade finance practices

Ideal Candidate Profile

• CA / CMA / MBA (Finance) preferred
• 3-5 years experience in manufacturing / plant finance
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Day-to-day accounting ops + team handling
• MIS reporting & analysis
• Costing / inventory accounting
• GST/TDS compliance coordination
• Audit readiness and internal controls
• Comfortable travelling to Pondicherry every month for Plant level control
