Zoomies is a new-age pet nutrition brand building honest, functional, and science-backed food for dogs and cats. As we scale rapidly, we're looking for a sharp Accounts Executive who can own our books end-to-end and build strong financial hygiene from day one.
Role Overview
We are looking for an Accounts Executive to manage complete books of accounts, MIS reporting, compliance filings, and financial controls. This role requires strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-growing startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Bookkeeping & Accounting
- Maintain day-to-day books of accounts (sales, purchase, expenses, journal entries)
- Vendor and customer ledger reconciliation
- Bank reconciliation and cash flow tracking
- Inventory accounting and COGS tracking
- Maintain fixed asset register
2. MIS & Reporting
- Prepare monthly MIS reports (P&L, cash flow, working capital, burn analysis)
- Budget vs actual analysis
- SKU-wise margin tracking
- Channel-wise profitability reporting
- Support founders with financial insights for decision-making
3. Compliance & Filings
- GST filings (GSTR 1, 3B, annual returns)
- TDS calculations and filings
- ROC compliances and coordination with CA
- Income tax and audit coordination
- Ensure timely statutory payments and filings
4. Controls & Process
- Set up and streamline accounting processes
- Manage documentation and financial record-keeping
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements
Requirements
- B.Com / M.Com (CA Inter preferred)
- 13 years of experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance
- Proficiency in ERP
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience in D2C, FMCG, or startup environment preferred
