Account Executive:
Location: Pune
Type: Full-time (On Payroll)
Position Summary:
As an Accounts Executive, you will support the finance and accounting team in managing day-to-day accounting operations, including the preparation of financial statements, managing accounts payable/receivable, handling audits, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. This role requires excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and a solid foundation in accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Account Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee and manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
GST and Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other tax regulations by assisting in the preparation and filing of returns and documentation.
Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support during audits.
Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
Expense Reporting: Review and process expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Management of Petty Cash: Monitor and reconcile petty cash accounts.
Statutory Compliance: Assist in ensuring adherence to all statutory obligations related to finance and accounts, including filing timely returns and maintaining accurate records.
Supporting Senior Accounts Staff: Work closely with the Senior Accountants and Finance Manager to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting.
Financial Analysis: Provide periodic financial analysis and assist in forecasting and budgeting processes.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate in Commerce (B.Com) or related field.
Certification: IPCC passed (CA Inter/Intermediate).
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and managing accounts in a corporate or professional services environment.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas).
Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other tax-related processes.
Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
