Clara is building an AI native System of Action for commercial trades such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire safety. Unlike traditional CRMs that only store data, Clara actively runs operations. The platform answers customer calls, schedules jobs, dispatches technicians, and manages collections, acting as a real operational layer for trade businesses.
Clara is live with 200 plus paying customers, has strong product market fit, and is generating approximately $1M in ARR with strong growth momentum. The product is already mission critical for customers and sits at the center of their daily operations.
As Clara scales, we are building the next layer of the platform including voice first AI agents, real time decision making, and vertical SaaS that acts, not just stores data.
Role Overview
We are looking for a high ownership Account Executive with strong experience selling B2B SaaS products to US customers. You will own the full sales cycle from qualified inbound and outbound opportunities through close and early expansion. This role is ideal for someone who understands consultative selling, runs disciplined pipelines, and can sell operationally critical software.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end to end sales cycle including discovery, product demos, objection handling, negotiation, and closing for US based customers
Sell to founders, operators, and decision makers at SMB and mid market trade businesses
Run structured discovery to deeply understand operational pain points and map them to Clara's System of Action value proposition
Conduct high quality demos focused on outcomes such as faster job completion, higher utilization, and improved cash flow
Maintain clean pipeline hygiene, accurate forecasting, and deal documentation in CRM
Partner closely with SDRs to convert qualified opportunities and improve win rates
Work with Product and Customer Success to bring market feedback into roadmap and onboarding
Drive expansion opportunities by identifying additional workflows, teams, and locations within accounts
Required Experience and Skills
3 to 6 years of closing experience in B2B SaaS sales
Proven experience selling to the US market with strong verbal and written communication skills
Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue quotas
Experience running demos and managing mid complexity sales cycles
Comfortable working US time zones
Hands on experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot or Salesforce
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, early stage startup environment with high ownership
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling vertical SaaS, AI products, or workflow automation tools
Experience selling to SMB or mid market customers in the US
Background in HVAC, plumbing, field services, or related operational industries
Prior experience at an early stage or high growth SaaS startup
Exposure to outbound, account based selling, or multi product sales
