Responsibilities
Business Development and Effective Presales:
- Participate in the strategic planning process and drive key initiatives that can provide a strategic advantage to Oktobuzz. In collaboration with the leadership team, define right client segment for Oktobuzz
- Strengthen pre-sales capabilities of Oktobuzz for effectively understanding and responding to client needs, in cognizance of their budgets, thereby improving enquiry-conversion rate
- Introduce pre sales practices to effectively manage the entire lifecycle of leads - from requirement gathering stage, commercial management to client onboarding stage
- Identify and prioritize presales activities for the leads. Take regular team reviews to ensure timely submission of approaches and proposals.
- Track proposals to closure (sign-off) oversee client onboarding activities. Participate in proposal negotiation, where required
- Allocate right account manager to client that would best fit into the client's needs and style of operation, as per the resource availability
- Support the account management team in designing right solution for clients and preparing a winning pitch
- Participate in pre sales activities for clients and win marquee deals that would enhance Oktobuzz's brand and credibility in priority segments
Client Growth & Coordination
- Managing new and existing client accounts.
- Develop Oktobuzz's capabilities in aptly understanding client needs, whether expressed or latent.
- Define a robust approach to seek and record client inputs, and identify and validate the approach to meet client needs.
- Strengthen mechanisms for collaborating with internal stakeholders (creative team, arts team, paid media team) for timely completion of activities to meet client commitments
- Help the team and client to decode critical briefs and present the same to the client.
- Track the ROI for each client and guide the team in identifying possible ways of improving the same.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients often through regular face to face contact and meetings.
- Build strong, long-term client relationships and be a first point of contact for certain critical clients.
- Identify early signs of possible discomfort, and do a course correction to ensure client satisfaction
- Encourage the account management team have a customer centric approach for delivering client commitments
- Educate the client so they are able to grow with us.
- Introduce client engagement practices for strengthening client relationships and periodically gauging client feedback.
- Be proactive and help the clients grow their business.
- Ensure we have a Positive Satisfaction score from our clients
Building Organizational Capabilities (people, Process, Technology)
- To build a highly capable and engaged Account Management team at Oktobuzz, focused on continuously enhancing value creation for our clients in collaboration with the other teams.
- Monitor the KPIs/PPIs defined for the Account Management team
- Identify the outliers or major deviations from the target, both negative and positive, and identify root-causes of these deviations
- Take necessary corrective and preventive action taken to minimize negative outliers / target misses.
- Review the reasons for positive deviations and check its applicability in other accounts on pilot basis. If successful, make necessary changes in the process in consultation with the Business Head
- Assess people capability and drive people capability improvement initiatives to continuously enhance people capability, through hiring, learning (incl. mentoring) and development
- Contribute in building knowledge assets and promote knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Be actively involved in hiring as well as in maintaining the morale, performance and engagement levels within the team
- Set performance expectations, review team performance and provide constructive feedback
- Identify learning needs of the team and provide a learning environment through training, assignments, knowledge-sharing sessions, etc. Mentor the team to be successful in their current role and meet their career aspirations
- Support implementation of employee effectiveness initiative such as wellness programs, quality of life, and organizational effectiveness interventions across the teams
- Paint an inspiring picture of the future of the business which is visible at all levels
- Support implementation of HR engagement initiatives to align employees to Oktobuzz vision and values
- Ensure we mindfully execute projects to ensure quality of deliverables and profitability of projects are maintained
Strategy
- Work with clients to create a digital media strategy that collaborates with marketing, PR and advertising campaigns, research top influencers, competitors, and trends in clients industries.
- Participate in the strategic planning process and drive key initiatives that can provide a strategic advantage to Oktobuzz. In collaboration with the leadership team, define right client segment for Oktobuzz
Performance Reporting
- Working with the team and analyzing and reporting social media actions on a monthly basis for successes and new opportunities.
- Monitoring budgets, spends and revenue and explaining cost factors to clients are also part of the profile.
- Manage the team and mentor them as and when necessary.
- Generate accurate and timely reports on the status of all accounts
- Follow up with the clients for timely payments.
- Continue to refine and define our social marketing process.
Knowledge
- Taking OktoBuzz as a brand and helping in PR.
- Identify new clients and potential business opportunities as well as upselling products and services.
- Keeping a track & being updated about latest trends in Digital industry and being proactive in updating it to the internal team and executing the same for clients.
Work Experience
9+ years in Team management, strategy and planning.
