As an Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and growing a dynamic engineering team specializing in Java, C, Bash Scripting & mySQL .
You will ensure high-quality delivery across various projects, playing a key role in driving the success of your team's output.
This role also involves close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders globally to deliver cutting-edge solutions in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, ensuring a high standard of code quality, productivity, and performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and ownership across multiple teams and time zones.
- Oversee the development and delivery of complex software solutions, ensuring on-time, within-budget delivery.
- Manage cross-functional teams across engagements, driving end-to-end project lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Prioritize projects in line with business goals and ensure alignment with senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Guide the technical architecture and design of scalable solutions, ensuring the use of best practices in Java and C development.
- Troubleshoot critical issues and provide hands-on technical support when required.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and drive innovation within the engineering team.
- Act as a point of contact for key stakeholders, including senior executives, to ensure alignment on project expectations and deliverables.
- Build strong relationships with clients by delivering exceptional results, leading to growth in the account's scope and scale.
- Proactively handle escalations and resolve client concerns to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
Key Qualifications
- 12+ years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong background in Java and C delivering applications on
Windows on Web platforms.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, microservices, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex software projects.
- Prior experience in leading teams across multiple engagements, managing over 20+ engineers.
- Strong people management skills, including performance management, recruitment, and team development.
- Ability to think critically and act decisively in high-pressure situations, with a focus on delivering results.
- Proven ability to manage project timelines, risks, and client expectations effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in dealing with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience working across time zones (India, NZ, US etc.), managing teams in diverse locations.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and best practices.
- Previous exposure to working with large clients, demonstrating an ability to scale teams and grow accounts.
- A passion for mentoring and building strong teams in a high-growth environment.
