Position Overview:
We are looking for a Design Engineer – Accessories to join our Design team. The role involves preparing accurate and timely accessory designs and drawings that support formwork systems, production, and project requirements. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, technically strong, and capable of working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Policy and Protocol Adherence
- Follow company standards, design procedures, and guidelines
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and manufacturing constraints
- Maintain confidentiality of all design data and documentation
2. Design, Delivery and Timelines
- Prepare accessory designs, fabrication drawings, and related documentation
- Deliver drawings within the agreed production and project timelines
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of all design outputs
3. Coordination and Collaboration
- Work closely with Business Development, production, and internal stakeholders
- Support drawing preparation, reviews, and submissions
- Communicate and escalate design issues, clashes, or constraints
4. Design Tools and Documentation
- Use CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) effectively for design tasks
- Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date design records
- Ensure proper documentation, revision control, and traceability
5. Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Ensure all designs meet company standards, safety norms, and project requirements
- Identify areas for improvement in design processes and workflows
- Contribute to enhancing efficiency and best practices
6. Authority & Responsibility
- Take ownership of the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of design work
- Manage workload based on production schedules and project priorities
- Follow procedures and escalate risks impacting quality, cost, or timelines
7. General Responsibilities
- Maintain professional conduct in the design function
- Use company systems, tools, and equipment responsibly
- Support team and project requirements with flexibility
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
