Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accessibility Testing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in accessibility testing, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and other relevant standards. This role is critical in helping us deliver inclusive, user-friendly digital solutions that meet global accessibility benchmarks. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct accessibility testing for web and mobile applications to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.0/2.1 (Level A, AA, and AAA) standards.
- Identify, document, and report accessibility issues using industry-standard tools such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack, or similar assistive technologies.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product teams to provide actionable recommendations for resolving accessibility defects.
- Perform manual and automated testing to validate compliance with accessibility guidelines and standards (e.g., Section 508, ADA, etc., where applicable).
- Create and maintain detailed test cases, test plans, and accessibility audit reports.
- Stay updated on evolving accessibility standards, tools, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement in testing processes.
- Advocate for accessibility awareness and educate cross-functional teams on its importance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of proven experience in accessibility testing with a focus on WCAG compliance.
- Hands-on experience with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver) and accessibility testing tools (e.g., WAVE, Axe, Lighthouse).
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.0/2.1 guidelines and other accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, EN 301 549).
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) for identifying and troubleshooting accessibility issues.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a passion for problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to articulate accessibility findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated accessibility testing tools (e.g., Deque Axe, Siteimprove).
- Knowledge of mobile accessibility testing (iOS and Android platforms).
- Certification in accessibility testing (e.g., IAAP CPACC, WAS, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

This position is available in the following cities: Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi. Candidates should be willing to work from one of these locations as per project requirements.
