Job Overview
We are seeking a responsible, professional, and safety-conscious Driver to support the FIFA Talent Coach under the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS). The driver will be based in Bhubaneswar and will be responsible for safe and efficient transportation using an automatic Electric Vehicle (EV).
As the FIFA Talent Coach is a foreign national, the driver must be able to communicate effectively in English (spoken and understood) to ensure smooth coordination and professional interaction at all times.
The role requires punctuality, discretion, discipline, and a strong understanding of local routes to ensure smooth daily operations, including official visits, training sessions, meetings, and airport transfers.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Logistics
- Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation to the FIFA Talent Coach for official duties, meetings, training sessions, academy visits, and airport transfers.
- Operate an automatic Electric Vehicle (EV) efficiently and responsibly.
- Ensure adherence to all traffic rules and road safety regulations at all times.
- Plan routes effectively considering traffic, weather, and time sensitivity.
- Be available for early morning or late evening duties as per the Talent Coach's schedule.
Vehicle Maintenance & Management
- Ensure the assigned EV is always clean, well-maintained, and in excellent working condition.
- Monitor battery levels and ensure timely charging of the EV to avoid operational disruptions.
- Conduct regular checks of brakes, tires, lights, and other essential components.
- Maintain proper documentation of vehicle registration, insurance, pollution certificate (if applicable), and service records.
- Coordinate with authorized service centers for scheduled servicing and repairs.
Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain a daily logbook of travel details including date, destination, purpose, and kilometers driven.
- Support minor logistical tasks as assigned by the FIFA Talent Coach or AIFF officials.
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism while accompanying official meetings and visits.
- Assist with handling basic travel coordination when required.
Conduct, Communication & Compliance
- Communicate clearly in English (spoken and understood) to coordinate effectively with the FIFA Talent Coach.
- Maintain a professional appearance and courteous behavior at all times.
- Demonstrate integrity, discretion, and respect in all interactions.
- Avoid the use of mobile phones while driving except through hands-free systems when necessary.
- Abstain from alcohol, tobacco or any prohibited substances during duty hours.
- Be subject to background verification and police clearance prior to appointment.
Essentials
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid driving license for Light Motor Vehicle (LMV).
- Proven experience as a professional driver (minimum 35 years preferred).
- Experience driving automatic vehicles; familiarity with Electric Vehicles (EVs) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Bhubaneswar city routes and surrounding areas.
- Ability to speak and understand English is mandatory.
- Good understanding of vehicle maintenance and road safety practices.
- Punctual, disciplined, and reliable.
Preferred
- Prior experience driving for senior officials, corporate executives, or international delegates.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Prior experience with foreign nationals or international organizations will be an added advantage.
