Academic Head — Boards (CBSE/ICSE), Grades 1–10
Job Location : Hyderabad
Role Summary
The Academic Head — Boards owns academic quality and learning outcomes for Infinity
Learn's CBSE and ICSE programs across Grades 1–10. This is the senior academic leadership
role responsible for curriculum and pacing alignment with board syllabi, faculty quality and
capability, and the academic outcomes. The role works in close partnership with Customer
Success, curriculum, Product and technology.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Academic Quality
• Ensure classes are conducted as per the defined SoPs.
• Learning outcomes are achieved for every child.
Faculty Leadership
• Set hiring bar, onboarding curriculum, and ongoing training standards for Boards faculty
• Own faculty performance management for the Boards cohort, using session audit scores,
CPT trends, and PTM/feedback signal as inputs.
• Build and maintain the subject-matter bench strength needed to scale Boards programs
across grades without compromising quality.
Continuous Learning Improvement
• Review attendance, CPT, and session-quality dashboards on a regular cadence to identify
systemic (not just individual) academic gaps.
• Run a continuous-improvement loop on curriculum and assessment design, informed by
outcome data rather than anecdote.
Requirements
Experience
• 8–12 years in academic leadership, curriculum design, or subject-matter leadership within
K-12 education or edtech, with at least 3 years in a people-management role.
• Demonstrated depth in CBSE and/or ICSE curriculum, ideally across multiple grades
within the 1–10 band.
• Experience managing or closely partnering with a faculty/teaching team at scale (multiple
faculty, multiple batches).
Education
Postgraduate degree in a core subject (Mathematics, Science, or allied discipline) or in
Education; B.Ed/M.Ed preferred but not mandatory if offset by strong subject and
leadership experience.
Skills & Competencies
• Comfortable working from data — reading CPT/attendance dashboards and translating
trends into curriculum or faculty action, not just reporting them.
• Strong cross-functional collaborator; able to work fluently with Customer Success teams
without owning their function.
• Sound judgment on escalation calls — knows when an issue is a faculty coaching matter
versus a curriculum design gap.
• Clear written and verbal communicator, able to set standards that faculty and AMs can
execute against consistently.
