Company Description PhysicsWallah (PW) is a fast-growing education company founded in 2020 by Alakh Pandey and Prateek Maheshwari, headquartered in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. PW focuses on democratizing access to quality education through online, offline and hybrid platforms. Evolving from a YouTube channel launched in 2014, PW now serves students across India in multiple vernacular languages. The company is building a tech-enabled hybrid education ecosystem with centers nationwide and offerings that span test preparation, skilling, higher education and study abroad. PW also operates an Institute of Innovation (IOI) that provides residential job-ready programs and is backed by leading global investors.

Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Academic Evaluator role based in Noida. The Academic Evaluator will review and evaluate academic content, including assignments, test papers and learning materials, to ensure accuracy, clarity and alignment with PW's curriculum and academic standards. The role involves assessing student performance, applying consistent grading criteria and providing constructive feedback to support learner improvement. The Academic Evaluator will collaborate with subject matter experts and faculty to suggest content enhancements, flag errors or gaps and maintain high-quality assessment frameworks. The role may also include participating in question paper moderation, item analysis and data-driven review of student outcomes to improve instructional effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject-matter expertise in the relevant academic domain (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or related subjects), with the ability to evaluate concept clarity and application.
  • Proficiency in academic evaluation and assessment design, including grading, rubric-based evaluation and question paper moderation.
  • Excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify content gaps, inaccuracies and inconsistencies in academic materials.
  • High attention to detail, with strong written communication skills for clear and constructive feedback to learners and academic teams.
  • Comfort working with digital tools and basic data analysis (e.g., spreadsheets, LMS or assessment platforms) to track performance and outcomes.
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, instructional designers and academic leaders in a structured, fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Science, Engineering, Education, or related field); prior experience in teaching, content review, or academic evaluation is preferred.
  • Commitment to learner-centric, inclusive education and openness to continuous learning and adopting new evaluation practices.
