Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Academic Counselor to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding students in their academic journey, providing support in course selection, career advice, and personal development.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Student Guidance: Provide academic counseling to students regarding course selection, program requirements, and institutional policies.
- Career Counseling: Assist students in understanding career options and guide them in making informed decisions regarding their future.
- Personal Development: Support students in developing skills necessary for academic success, including time management, study techniques, and goal setting.
- Workshops and Seminars: Organize and conduct workshops and seminars on various academic and career-related topics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with faculty and administrative staff to ensure a supportive academic environment for students.
- Monitoring Progress: Track student progress and intervene when necessary to ensure academic success.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic counseling or related roles.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in using counseling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of educational programs and career opportunities.
