Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Academic Counselor (Edtech) role based in Bengaluru. The Academic Counselor will guide students through program options, clarify academic pathways, and help them make informed decisions aligned with their career goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, responding to student queries via calls and emails, and maintaining accurate records of interactions and progress. The role involves collaborating with instructors and internal teams to track learner performance, identify additional support needs, and recommend suitable interventions or resources. The Academic Counselor will also participate in webinars or information sessions, contribute feedback to improve learning programs, and ensure a positive, supportive learner experience.
Qualifications

  • Strong Student Counseling and Academic Advising skills to support learners in their educational journey.
  • Experience in Career Counseling and a solid understanding of Education systems and career pathways.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication with diverse learners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to build trust, show empathy, and maintain a professional, learner-focused approach.
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; advanced certifications in career or academic counseling are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in edtech, academic institutions, or student-facing roles is preferred.
  • Comfort with using digital tools, CRM or student management systems, and online communication platforms.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through.
