Role Description The Academic Counselor will provide one-on-one and group counseling to students, helping them understand academic options, entrance exams, and career pathways aligned with their goals. This full-time on-site role, based in Indore, includes conducting counseling sessions, maintaining student records, and creating individual academic and career plans. The Academic Counselor will collaborate with mentors and internal teams to organize workshops, webinars, and information sessions about colleges and programs. Daily responsibilities also include responding to student and parent inquiries, delivering clear guidance on application processes, and sharing timely updates on educational opportunities through the Campus Updates platform. The counselor will contribute to improving counseling resources, tools, and processes to enhance student outcomes and satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills, with the ability to guide diverse learners toward suitable academic and career paths.
- Candidates should possess effective Academic Advising and Education-related knowledge, including familiarity with college admissions, entrance exams, and program structures.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and the ability to explain complex information simply.
- Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and a student-centric approach to support individuals from different backgrounds.
- Relevant experience in academic counseling, career guidance, or education services is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification in counseling is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Indore, manage multiple student cases, and use digital tools and platforms for scheduling, record-keeping, and communication.
