Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Academic Counsellor to guide prospective students in choosing the right training programs, manage admissions inquiries, and contribute to enrollment growth. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, a consultative approach, and the ability to build trust with students and parents.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students regarding courses, career opportunities, and training programs.
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, leads, and walk-in inquiries related to admissions.
- Understand student requirements and recommend suitable courses based on career goals.
- Follow up with leads and convert inquiries into enrollments.
- Achieve monthly admission and counseling targets.
- Conduct counseling sessions, course presentations, and admission guidance.
- Maintain relationships with students throughout the admission process.
- Coordinate with internal teams for smooth onboarding and student support.
- Maintain and update CRM records, inquiry data, and admission reports regularly.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.
- Good convincing and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to understand student needs and provide suitable guidance.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and result-driven mindset.
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience in admissions counseling or education sales is preferred.
Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA/Marketing background preferred but not mandatory).
- 0–3 years of experience in counseling, admissions, sales, or client servicing.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in the education, training, or IT industry will be an added advantage.
