Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Academic Counsellor based in Chennai. The Academic Counsellor will guide and counsel prospective students regarding educational opportunities, assist in the admission process, and provide ongoing support to help students achieve their academic goals. Key responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, providing career guidance, addressing student queries, and maintaining accurate records of interactions and follow-ups. Collaboration with other departments to achieve organizational goals is also a core aspect of this role.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
• Counseling and student relationship management skills
• Ability to understand academic processes and career pathways
• Organizational and time-management capabilities
• Proficiency in using technology for documentation and reporting
• Bachelor's degree in any field; a degree or certification in counseling or education is a plus
• Fluency in English and regional languages preferred
• Experience in academic counseling or customer-facing roles will be an added advantage
