Role Overview
We are looking for a student-centric and result-oriented Academic Counsellor for our Dehradun centre. The role involves guiding students and parents, understanding academic needs, counselling them on the right programs, and ensuring high enrolment conversion while maintaining strong academic integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Counsel students and parents regarding Toprankers academic programs, courses, and learning pathways
Understand student goals, academic background, and exam requirements to recommend appropriate solutions
Handle walk-ins, inbound leads, telephonic and online counselling inquiries
Drive enrolments and achieve monthly admission and revenue targets
Maintain accurate student data, follow-ups, and counselling records in CRM systems
Coordinate with academic teams, faculty, and centre operations for seamless student onboarding
Participate in outreach activities such as seminars, school/college visits, workshops, and events
Address student and parent concerns with empathy and clarity
Support retention initiatives by maintaining strong post-enrolment relationships
Required Skills & Qualifications
14 years of experience in academic counselling, education sales, student advisory, or related roles
Strong communication skills in English and Hindi (local language knowledge is a plus)
Ability to connect with students and parents and build trust
Target-driven mindset with ethical counselling approach
Basic proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and digital communication platforms
Willingness to work on weekends and during peak admission cycles
Preferred Candidate Profile
Prior experience in test-prep, coaching institutes, or EdTech companies
Understanding of competitive exams such as CLAT, Judiciary, CUET, IPMAT, CAT, etc.
Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline (Education/Psychology preferred but not mandatory)
Local market familiarity with Dehradun educational ecosystem is an added advantage
