We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and result-oriented Academic Counsellor who can effectively engage
with prospective students, provide course guidance, and drive admissions through consultative counseling and
relationship building.
Job Summary
The Academic Counsellor – Admissions & Inside Sales will be responsible for counseling prospective students,
understanding their career aspirations, recommending suitable training programs, and converting inquiries into
admissions. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong relationship management abilities, and a
passion for helping students make informed educational and career decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Student Counseling & Admissions
Connect with prospective students through outbound and inbound calls, emails, WhatsApp, and other
communication channels.
Understand students educational background, career goals, and learning requirements.
Counsel students regarding available courses, certifications, curriculum, career opportunities, and industry
demand.
Guide students through the admission process and resolve their queries effectively.
Convert inquiries into admissions through professional counseling and relationship management.
Lead Management & Follow-up
Manage and nurture leads generated through digital marketing campaigns, websites, social media platforms,
referrals, seminars, and walk-ins.
Maintain systematic follow-ups to improve lead-to-admission conversion rates.
Record all interactions, lead status updates, and admission activities in the CRM system.
Ensure timely follow-up and engagement throughout the student enrollment life-cycle.
Sales & Revenue Contribution
Achieve individual and team admission targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Promote ongoing offers, scholarships, discounts, and special programs to prospective students.
Maximize student enrollments while maintaining high service and counseling standards.
Contribute towards achieving organizational admission and revenue goals.
Coordination & Reporting
Collaborate closely with the Marketing, Training, and Admissions teams to improve lead conversion strategies.
Share market intelligence, student feedback, and competitor insights with management.
Prepare and submit daily activity reports, counseling reports, and admission conversion reports.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Number of student counseling sessions conducted.
Lead-to-counseling conversion ratio.
Counseling-to-admission conversion ratio.
Monthly admission targets achieved.
Revenue contribution through enrollments.
Follow-up compliance and CRM data accuracy.
Student satisfaction and counseling effectiveness.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
MBA / PGDBM preferred (Marketing, Sales, Business Management).
Graduate candidates with relevant experience may also apply.
Experience
6 months to 2 years of experience in Admissions Counseling, Academic Counseling, Inside Sales, Student
Enrollment, Tele-Counseling, or Customer Engagement.
Prior experience in Ed-Tech, Training Institutes, Educational Services, Skill Development, or Learning &
Development organizations will be preferred.
