Job Description

Position Title: Academic Coordinator Allied and Healthcare Programs

Location: Ahemdabad/Bhopal/Bhubaneswar/Chennai/Gurugram/Hyderabad/Indore/Navi Mumbai/Pune/Raipur

Reporting To: Associate Dean

Role Purpose

The Academic Coordinator, Allied Health (Regulated Programs) is responsible for coordinating academic operations and statutory compliance of 4‑year B.Sc. Allied Health regulated programs at the partner university and liaison with the partner university academic and operations team, and the partner hospital, while also teaching and ensuring high standards of academic delivery, clinical integration, and regulatory adherence.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Academic Coordination – Regulated Programs

  • Coordinate end-to-end academic delivery for 4‑year B.Sc. Allied Health regulated programs, including theory, practical, clinical postings, and internships/apprenticeship at the partner university by facilitating the coordination with the academic head of the allied health programs of the university.
  • Coordination with the partner hospital to ensure seamless clinical exposure and internships.
  • Coordinate with university administration to ensure and support compliance with regulatory norms, university statutes, curriculum frameworks, credit structures, and mandated clinical hours.
  • Coordinate with the university academic team to prepare and implement academic calendars, class schedules, examination plans, and clinical rotation rosters.
  • Monitor student attendance, academic progression, assessments, completion of regulatory requirements, and beyond curriculum activities designed by the Apollo Healthcare Academy.
  • Regularly report and coordinate all activities, compliance, and progress to Associate Dean.

Teaching & Faculty Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate students as per approved curriculum and university guidelines.
  • Develop lesson plans, teaching material, presentations, case studies, and assessments aligned with learning outcomes.
  • Conduct lectures, tutorials, internal assessments, practical orientations, and student evaluations.
  • Integrate real‑world healthcare delivery models, hospital workflows, patient pathways, and clinical terminology into classroom teaching.
  • Mentor students academically and support competency-based learning.

Faculty & Clinical Coordination

  • Coordinate with allied health faculty, clinical instructors, visiting consultants, and hospital departments.
  • Ensure faculty deployment and workload comply with regulatory faculty‑student ratio requirements.
  • Support integration of classroom teaching with clinical exposure.

Student Academic Administration

  • Act as the academic point of contact for students for regulated Allied Health programs.
  • Support onboarding, orientation, academic counseling, examination coordination, and grievance redressal.
  • Track internal assessment scores, university examination results, backlogs, and internship completion.

Examinations & University Liaison

  • Coordinate internal assessments, end‑semester exams, practicals, and viva voce.
  • Liaise with affiliating universities for examination schedules, evaluator coordination, results, and certifications.

Quality Assurance & Academic Improvement

  • Collect and analyze student feedback for teaching effectiveness and academic improvement.
  • Support curriculum enhancement, competency-based education, and digital learning initiatives aligned to regulatory approvals.

Education, Skills & Experiences

  • M.Sc. in any Allied Health specialization from a recognized university.
  • Must meet regulatory council and university eligibility criteria for teaching in Allied Health programs.
  • 3–8 years of experience in allied health education, academic coordination, or regulated healthcare education institutions.
  • Prior teaching experience in relevant allied and healthcare domain.
  • Experience with UGC or council‑regulated programs  and approval processes will be an advantage.
