Job Description

Job Title: Academic Assignment Support Associate

Company: Projectitude

Location: Remote

Employment Type: Full-time — 6 days a week, 9 hours daily

HOW TO APPLY — PLEASE READ FIRST

  1. Email your cover letter and resume to [Confidential Information]. Applications made only through LinkedIn will NOT be considered. You must email us directly.
  2. Your cover letter must answer both of these questions:
  • Which academic assignment firms have you worked with, and what exactly did you do there
  • Give one example of a time you dealt with a difficult student or a tricky piece of tutor feedback — what did you do and how did it turn out
  • Cover letters that do not answer both questions, and applications that arrive only via LinkedIn's Easy Apply, will not be reviewed.

IMPORTANT — WHO THIS ROLE IS AND IS NOT FOR

Before you apply, please read this carefully.

This role is strictly in the academic assignments industry — the industry that helps university students in Australia, the UK, Canada, and the US complete their coursework, essays, dissertations, literature reviews, case studies, and reflective work in line with strict university rubrics and referencing standards.

This role is NOT for:

  • Writers of any kind — this is not a writing role. You will not be paid to write assignments.
  • SEO writers, content writers, or copywriters — SEO and marketing content skills do not transfer to this role.
  • Medical writers, scientific writers, regulatory writers, or pharma writers — the conventions, deliverables, and quality expectations are completely different.
  • Journalists, blog writers, or creative writers — fiction, feature-writing, and editorial work are not what we do.
  • Ghostwriters for books, biographies, or thought leadership — again, different work.
  • AI/LLM data-annotation or prompt-writing roles — this is a strict no.
  • Pure academic teaching or lecturing roles with no hands-on academic-writing exposure — teaching a subject is not the same as producing rubric-aligned academic work under a deadline.

This role IS for:

  • People currently or previously working at academic assignment help firms serving UK, Australian, US, or Canadian students — as support associates, junior QC/proofreaders, editors, quality reviewers, or writer-assistants.
  • People who genuinely understand how a UK/AU marking rubric works, what a literature review actually looks like, and why AGLC4 is different from APA 7.

If your career has been in SEO, marketing, medical, scientific, or creative writing, please do not apply — we cannot train someone into this domain, and the fit will not work for either side.

About Projectitude

Projectitude is an academic services company supporting university students in Australia, the UK, Canada, and the US across nursing, management, law, psychology, ECEC, humanities, and technical subjects. Our primary market is Australia, and our writers work to strict rubric-driven quality standards.

About the Role

We are hiring an Academic Assignment Support Associate to work alongside our internal team on the day-to-day execution of student orders. This is a hands-on, execution-level role — not a managerial or decision-making seat. You will be the connective tissue between our internal team, our students, and our writers, making sure every order moves smoothly from brief to delivery.

What You Will Do

  • Reach out to students over WhatsApp, text, and email to collect assignment briefs, marking rubrics, lecture slides, reading lists, and any other documents required for the order.
  • Log into student university portals (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, and similar) to retrieve assignment instructions, submitted drafts, tutor feedback, and grades.
  • Read tutor feedback carefully — including comments on referencing errors, weak literature reviews, missed rubric criteria, and thin sourcing — and relay it accurately and verbatim to the internal team and the writer responsible for the order.
  • Chase writers on pending deliverables, confirm deadlines are being met, and flag delays to the internal team early.
  • Report outcomes back to the internal team in a clear, organised way over email and Google Sheets.
  • Maintain neat records of every order — documents received, feedback received, delivery status — in our internal trackers.

Who You Are — Academic Skills (Non-Negotiable)

You must genuinely understand how academic writing works. This is not a role for someone who will learn referencing on the job. Specifically, you must:

  • Understand and recognise the major referencing styles used in Australia, the UK, Canada, and the US — APA 7th, Harvard, Vancouver, OSCOLA, AGLC4, MLA, Chicago, and IEEE. You should be able to tell when an in-text citation is broken, when a reference list entry is missing a field, or when a tutor's feedback is pointing to a citation problem.
  • Know what a proper literature review looks like — search strategy, inclusion/exclusion criteria, thematic synthesis, gap identification. You should have written or worked on at least one literature review in your own education or in a previous job.
  • Be comfortable using academic research databases — Google Scholar at minimum, and ideally Scopus, CINAHL, PubMed, Web of Science, JSTOR, or ProQuest. You should know how to search with Boolean operators, filter by year and peer-review status, and export citations.
  • Understand dissertation structure — introduction, literature review, methodology, findings, discussion, conclusion — and know what a methodology chapter is supposed to contain.
  • Recognise rubric-driven feedback — you should be able to read a marking rubric and match tutor comments back to specific criteria.

Who You Are — Work Experience (Strongly Preferred)

  • Prior work experience in the academic assignment writing industry is a major plus — as a support associate, junior QC, proofreader, editor, team lead, writer-assistant, or senior writer at a firm serving UK, AU, US, or Canadian students. This is the single strongest signal we look for.
  • Experience as a proofreader, editor, quality reviewer, or team lead — someone who has reviewed junior writers work, flagged what was wrong, guided edits, and acted as the bridge between the student and the writer — is a particularly strong fit for this role.
  • Versatility across multiple subjects is preferred — the ability to understand assignment requirements deeply across nursing, management, law, psychology, ECEC, and humanities, and to recognise the recipe for high grades (rubric-alignment, referencing precision, structure, sourcing, and discipline conventions).
  • Familiarity with the Australian academic market — AGLC4, EYLF/NQS, Australian nursing standards, and Australian universities such as Deakin, Monash, UNSW, USYD, La Trobe, Griffith, CDU, and ACU — is a strong plus.

Who You Are — Everyday Skills

  • Comfortable navigating student portals (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard) and downloading files without step-by-step instructions.
  • Fluent with email, Google Sheets, MS Excel, MS Word, and everyday office tools.
  • Your written English is clear and professional — you can text a student, draft an email reflecting a tutor's feedback, and update a spreadsheet without errors.

Education

Because the skills required for this role are not reliably taught in a standard Indian bachelor's programme, we consider candidates from the following backgrounds:

  • A postgraduate degree (master's or higher) from a reputable institute where you actually completed a dissertation or a substantial literature review and worked with proper referencing and research databases.

OR

  • A bachelor's degree from a reputable institute combined with at least 1–2 years of hands-on work experience in the academic assignment writing industry, where you would have picked up referencing, research, and portal work on the job.

OR

  • Education from a UK, Australian, US, or Canadian institution at any level — because these systems teach referencing, research, and literature reviews at the undergraduate stage itself.

Field of study is flexible — English, humanities, law, management, nursing, public health, or the social sciences are all welcome. What matters is that you have genuinely done academic writing yourself.

What Matters to Us in a Person

This role is built on trust, follow-through, and humility. We are looking for someone who:

  • Listens carefully and takes instructions well, without needing to be in charge.
  • Is patient with students who are stressed, confused, or unhappy about their grades.
  • Follows through on tasks and closes loops without being chased.
  • Communicates honestly — tells us early when something is going wrong instead of hiding it.
  • Is comfortable in a support seat and does not need a senior title to feel valued.

Working Arrangement

  • 100% remote — you can work from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
  • 6 days a week, 9 hours daily.
  • You will need a reliable laptop, a working headset, and a quiet environment for student and team calls.

Compensation & Probation Structure

We follow a transparent, performance-linked pay structure.

  • Month 1 — Training salary: ₹16,000 per month
  • Months 2 and 3 — Probation salary: ₹19,000 per month
  • Month 4 onwards — Confirmed salary: ₹22,000 per month
  • Formal performance review at 6 months — with the possibility of a salary increase based on demonstrated performance and business needs. Note: a raise at this review is not guaranteed; it is performance-driven.
  • Notice period during probation: 10–15 days from either side.
  • Notice period after confirmation: 30 days from either side.
  • Leave policy during probation: sick leave permitted; other leaves not permitted during the probation period.

One Final Note

We read every email that reaches [HIDDEN TEXT]. Applications sent through the correct channel, with a cover letter that actually answers our two questions, will always get a response — even if the answer is no.
