Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Academic Advisor located in Coimbatore. The Academic Advisor will assist students with tailored guidance for academic and career options, including helping students select courses, plan educational paths, and secure admissions to international universities. Daily tasks include one-on-one student counselling, providing resources for scholarships and test prep, and offering expert advice on navigating the application and admissions process.

Qualifications

• Experience in Student Counselling and Academic Advising
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect effectively with diverse students
• Proficiency in Career Counseling and advising on educational opportunities
• Knowledge of global education systems and admission processes is an advantage
• Empathy, problem-solving skills, and a passion for helping students achieve academic and career success
  

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents for Study Abroad programs (UK, EU, USA & other destinations)
• Handle walk-ins and digital leads effectively
• Maintain strong follow-up systems and pipeline tracking
• Convert qualified leads into confirmed enrollments
• Build trust with parents and manage objections professionally
• Meet and exceed monthly admission targets
• Coordinate with documentation and visa teams

Who we are looking for.

• 13 years of experience in Study Abroad counselling or education sales
• Strong closing and negotiation skills
• Fluent in Tamil and English
• Confident personality with strong communication skills
• Self-motivated and performance-driven
• Comfortable working with targets

This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow into a Team Lead / State Lead role in the near future.
