Role: ABAP Developer

Company: Medical Equipment Manufacturing (Ophthalmology Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices, Eye care, and Eye health)

Duration: Contract role with extensions

Location: Remote (India)

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of handson SAP ABAP experience
• Strong experience supporting and enhancing ECC production systems
• Experience working with highvolume integrations (IDocs, RFCs, Proxies)
• Hands on enhancement experience in Supply Chain, OTI / Sales & Distribution and Manufacturing and QA SAP modules
• Solid understanding of endtoend business processes (Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing)
• Experience implementing enhancements using standard SAP techniques (e.g., BAdIs, user exits)
• Working knowledge of ObjectOriented ABAP (classes, methods)
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Plusses (Nice to Have)

• Prior SAP implementation or major rollout experience
• Exposure to or experience with S/4HANA
• Basic familiarity with HANA concepts (CDS Views, HANA Views)
• Experience supporting or modernizing integrations

Day to Day

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to support and enhance a large, complex SAP ECC 7.3 environment with a primary focus on Supply Chain and OrdertoInvoice (Sales & Distribution). This role is enhancementdriven and requires handson experience modifying and supporting existing legacy ABAP programs while maintaining functional integrity. The developer will work across Supply Chain, OTI / Sales & Distribution, and Manufacturing and QA modules, support a highvolume integration landscape including IDocs, Proxies, RFCs, and SAP PIbased interfaces, collaborate closely with functional teams to translate functional specifications into technical solutions, and provide technical input, estimates, and support for ongoing enhancement initiatives.
