Apply ABA therapist with experience or ABAT certificate
Responsibilities
1. Assessment & Goal Setting
- Conduct behavioural assessments.
- Assist in developing individualized ABA therapy plans based on assessment results.
- Set measurable goals and track progress regularly.
2. Delivering ABA Interventions
- Implement ABA-based intervention strategies, including reinforcement, prompting, shaping, and task analysis.
- Conduct 1:1 therapy sessions focusing on communication, social skills, behaviour reduction, and daily living skills.
- Apply behaviour intervention plans (BIPs) consistently across sessions.
3. Data Collection & Documentation
- Record session data accurately and in real time using digital or paper systems.
- Maintain detailed logs of behaviours, responses, and progress.
- Submit progress updates to supervisors on time.
4. Behaviour Management
- Implement strategies to reduce challenging behaviours safely and ethically.
- Use de-escalation techniques and maintain calm, supportive interactions.
- Follow all safety protocols during behavioural incidents.
5. Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with therapists, and special educators.
- Communicate session feedback, strategies, and progress with parents.
- Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and parent conferences.
6. Generalization & Community Skills
- Support children in applying learned skills across environments (home, school, community).
- Conduct sessions in naturalistic settings when required.
7. Professional Conduct
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines of ABA practice.
- Attend required trainings, workshops, and supervision sessions.
- Stay updated with best practices in ABA and child development.
8. Environment Preparation
- Set up materials and structured environments needed for sessions.
- Ensure therapy spaces are safe, clean, and engaging.
- Maintain therapy equipment and request replacements when needed.
9. Family Guidance
- Provide simple, practical home-based strategies for parents
- Support carry-over of skills into everyday routines.
Qualifications
- Experienced in ABA OR Trained OR Certified in ABA
