Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement complex data integration solutions using Ab Initios graphical interface and command-line tools.
- Participates in design reviews, conducts code reviews, creates test plans, participates in testing reviews, and resolves complex defects.
- Analyze complex data requirements and translate them into effective Ab Initio designs.
- Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Able to create detailed ETL development estimates and change requests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Ab Initio jobs and data flows.
- Be able to evaluate technical designs and data mapping documents and develop based on user requirements.
- Create and update technical documentation using high-level technical specification documents.
- Optimize performance and scalability of Ab Initio jobs.
- Other responsibilities include enhancement, performance tuning, and support of existing applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data analysts, and other team members to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
- Stay up to date with the latest Ab Initio technologies and industry best practices.
- Willingness to do out of hour support and work in UK shift.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of Ab Initio components like Rollup, Normalize, Scan.... etc.
- Strong knowledge in web components like call by web service.
- Good to have knowledge in migration projects.
- Experience in data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL concepts.
- Good to have knowledge on Jira, CA7, and Agile methodology.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Perform performance tuning on both LINUX, ETL, and Oracle database environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
