Ab Initio Developer

Role purpose:

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

1. End-to-End Solution Ownership

Own the design, development, and delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data integration solutions using Ab Initio technologies. Act as hands-on technical leader working closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders,Architecture teams, andoffshore/onshore delivery teams.

2. ETL Strategy & Architecture Leadership

Lead the definition, execution, and evolution of enterprise ETL strategy, data architecture, and integration patterns. Make key technical decisions on performance, scalability, reusability, and future-readiness of Ab Initio-based platforms.

3. Hands-on Design & Advanced Development

Design and develop complex ETL frameworks, reusable components, and high-performance data pipelines using advanced Ab Initio features including (but not limited to): GDE, EME, Control Center, Continuous Flows, ICFFs, Metadata Hub, Express>It, Micrographs, Web Services, MDW Framework, and Data Quality Assessment.

4. Design Governance & Lifecycle

Ownership Core competencies, knowledge and experience :

Essential: · Deep expertise in Data Warehousing, ETL concepts, and large-scale data integration architectures.

· Extensive hands-on Ab Initio experience, leveraging advanced features for performance tuning, metadata management, scheduling, monitoring, and data quality.

· Strong proficiency in SQL, UNIX/Linux, and shell scripting, with proven ability to debug and optimize complex data flows. · Proven experience in end-to-end solution design, including creation of High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and leading enterprise-grade implementations.

· Strong domain exposure to Telecommunications, handling high-volume, high-velocity, business-critical data (billing, mediation, CRM, network, or analytics).

Experience: · 4+ years of relevant experience in ETL/DWH development, with a minimum of 4+ years of strong Ab Initio hands-on experience. Must have technical/professional qualifications: B. E / B. Tech / MCA / M.Sc. (Computer Science or equivalent)

Drive High-Level and Low-Level Design creation, functional mappings, and technical documentation.

Provide architectural oversight across the full project lifecycle -from requirements and design to deployment, optimization, and production support.

5. People, Process & Quality Leadership Mentor and guide junior and mid-level resources, enforce best practices, and contribute to organizational maturity through process adoption, tool optimization, automation, and continuous quality improvement across the service line.
