Job Description: Associate Area Head (AAH) - Gold Loan

Job Summary

The Associate Area Head (AAH) - Gold Loan will be responsible for supporting business growth, branch operations, portfolio management, and team performance across the assigned territory. The role requires close coordination with Branch Managers to achieve business targets, maintain portfolio quality, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver superior customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth & Market Development

• Drive Gold Loan business growth across branches within the assigned territory.
• Support achievement of disbursement, portfolio, revenue, and profitability targets.
• Identify local business opportunities and develop market penetration strategies.
• Enhance customer acquisition through branch activities, referrals, and local campaigns.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to increase market share.

Branch Management & Team Leadership

• Manage and guide Branch Managers and branch teams across the territory.
• Conduct regular branch visits to review business, operations, and service quality.
• Ensure optimum manpower utilization and productivity across branches.
• Coach and mentor teams to improve sales performance and customer engagement.
• Drive a culture of accountability, performance, and customer focus.

Portfolio Quality & Risk Control

• Monitor branch-level portfolio health and asset quality.
• Ensure timely collections and control of overdue and auction cases.
• Implement measures to reduce delinquency and maintain portfolio standards.
• Ensure adherence to gold appraisal, storage, and release procedures.
• Identify and mitigate operational and business risks.

Operations & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct periodic operational reviews and process audits.
• Ensure closure of audit observations within defined timelines.
• Maintain high standards of operational efficiency and process discipline.
• Monitor customer service quality and grievance resolution.

Stakeholder Management

• Maintain relationships with key customers, local influencers, and business associates.
• Coordinate with Operations, Risk, HR, Finance, and other support teams.
• Support marketing initiatives and branch-level promotional activities.
• Handle escalations and provide timely resolutions for business and customer concerns.

MIS & Performance Monitoring

• Review branch performance reports and MIS on a regular basis.
• Analyze business gaps and initiate corrective action plans.
• Track key performance metrics and provide updates to the Area Head.
• Ensure timely submission of business and operational reports.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

• Graduate in any discipline.
• MBA or Post-Graduation preferred.

Experience

• 5 to 8 years of experience in Gold Loan, NBFC, Banking, or Financial Services.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in branch management or territory handling.
• Strong exposure to Gold Loan business operations and portfolio management.
