Role Description This is a full-time, on-site AAC fitter and welder role based in Dharwad. The role involves fitting and assembling AAC (autoclaved aerated concrete) components and performing welding operations to support fabrication and installation activities. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials, preparing joints, and carrying out arc, MIG, or TIG welding as required. The AAC fitter and welder will inspect completed work for quality, follow safety protocols, maintain tools and equipment, and collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project timelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong welding skills, including Welding, Arc Welding, MIG Welding, and TIG Welding.
- Candidates should have knowledge of Materials used in AAC structures and related fabrication processes.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
- Understanding of safety standards and best practices for welding and construction environments.
- Previous experience as a fitter/welder in construction or manufacturing settings is preferred.
- Relevant technical certification or vocational training in welding or fabrication is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Dharwad, perform physically demanding tasks, and collaborate within a diverse team.
