YOUR IMPACT
Accountable for all MEP services (Electrical, PHE, Fire Fighting System, DG, STP, Elevators, LVS, BMS, IoT, HSD, ACS, and HVAC) on projects, ensuring agreed outcomes for time, budget, safety, and quality requirements are met. Ensures advice provided allows for high-quality, time-efficient, and profitable delivery while maintaining accountability for compliance, governance, and assurance. Develops effective working relationships with a range of both internal and external colleagues and stakeholders
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
- Drive long-term value creation, profitability, and engineering efficiency through process
- bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- 7+ years of experience
- Knowledge of MEP works, including testing and commissioning
- Should have completed two large commercial office buildings from start to handover
- Well-versed in the LEED and WELLNESS certification processes
Key Responsibilities
- Provide sound technical support for the MEP services on the project, offering clear advice, guidance, and encouragement of compliance with standards
- Undertake design reviews on information provided by consultants and trade specialists, ensuring compliance, coordination, and completeness, including embodied carbon and operational energy associated with MEP services design, in accordance with LEED and WELL design frameworks
- Provide inputs on all MEP services-related points during the schematic and detail design stages, particularly regarding methods of installation and material selection
- Offer sound technical advice on MEP services, including management of the program, health, safety, and wellbeing, quality, and commissioning of the project
- Liaise and coordinate with key project stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors, and other team leaders
- Undertake initial reviews of contracts and scope, advise on budget preparation, value engineering proposals, schedules, and trade contracts. Support the procurement team throughout the project lifecycle by reviewing progress and resolving issues
- Analyze all MEP services-related tender bids received and review rate analysis documents. Review BOQs and drawings to contribute to value engineering solutions for cost savings
- Set expectations at the beginning of the project with the PMC team and contractors to achieve the desired quality of workmanship
- Ensure all mock-ups are completed well in advance and verify the method of installation for each type of work
- Review and provide guidance on potential delivery strategies and programs for all project phases, ensuring key milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics, and work sequencing are properly considered
- Ensure capital goods are ordered on time with procurement team support, tracking manufacturing, transportation, clearance, and unloading at the correct project site location
- Coordinate with all statutory authorities for approval processes, such as BESCOM, CIG, lift inspectorate, and KSPCB for DG and STP
- Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans
- Review issues to drive continuous improvement and provide lessons learned through knowledge-sharing processes
- Prepare detailed inspection reports regarding services in consultation with consultants
- Conduct meetings and review monthly, weekly, and daily project schedules prepared by the PMC representative along with contractors
- Validate invoices raised by contractors at regular intervals, including GRNs, BOQs, and specifications, to ensure timely payments to contractors
- Check and accept all handover documents received from contractors and consultants, including warranties, guarantees, as-built drawings with LOD 500, and operating manuals
- Ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities from contractors to facility management team
- Oversee and address complaints from IFM teams during the DLP, coordinating and resolving issues with contractors and consultants
